Our Commitment

Kudo Kids, LLC (doing business as KudoKids) is committed to ensuring that our website and mobile application are accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards.

Conformance Status

We are working toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance for the KudoKids website (kudokids.org). As we continue to improve accessibility, we acknowledge that some areas may not yet fully conform. We are actively identifying and addressing gaps.

Measures We Have Taken

• Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy and ARIA landmarks (header, nav, main, footer)
• ARIA labels on interactive elements including navigation dropdowns, dialogs, accordions, radio groups, and form controls
• Keyboard navigation support across all interactive components, including focus traps in modal dialogs and mobile menus
• Focus management with visible focus indicators, focus return on dropdown close, and auto-focus on the cookie consent banner
• Skip-to-content navigation link for keyboard users
• Alt text on informational images and aria-hidden on decorative icons and SVGs
• Responsive design that supports text resizing and zoom
• Color contrast ratios that meet WCAG 2.1 AA minimum thresholds (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text), verified with automated axe-core testing
• Reduced motion support via the prefers-reduced-motion media query

Known Limitations

We are aware of the following accessibility limitations and are actively working to resolve them:

• Third-party embedded content (such as social media links) may not fully conform to WCAG standards.
• Some dynamic content loaded via JavaScript may briefly lack accessibility attributes during initial page load.
